Bloody Angels

Here are some Blood Angels that I finished last week but have been too busy to actually post up here until now.

First up is Commander Dante; he's Level 5.  Apart from that, no surprises.

Secondly, here are some Librarians; they're Level 4 with their Bolt Pistol arms magnetized.

The Mighty Mephiston!

Here are a couple Blood Angels characters I finished recently.

First up is a Level 5 Mephiston...

And then there are some Sanguinary Priests.  The ones with the Bolt Pistols have magnetized weapon arms.  These guys are Level 3.

Busy like a Bee

Whew.

The past two weeks have been super hectic for me.  Why?

'Cause I got a new job. :D  That's not to say that Commission Painting isn't a job; it certainly is a part-time, after-hours enterprise, but I recently got a day job at a local medical manufacturing group.  Pretty exciting.

Anyhoo, here are some models that I finished up like a week ago, but simply haven't had the time to post up here:

These are some Steelhead Riflemen that have been painted in the awesome purple Menoth scheme like the Avatar and Revenger that I painted previously.  Level 3, so not too much to say about these guys, except that painting tiny Menofixes is kind of fun.

I recently attended a local 35 point Warmachine tournament in which I came 2nd (out of only 4 players, but still...), so stay tuned for some battle reports of those games and some more casual, practice games that I played.

I also have a 50 point Steamroller game coming up tomorrow, so stay tuned for some awesome reports of that!

Moar Spawn!

Yeah, I've gotten another Spawn done; still Level 5 w/ scenic basing.

This one follows a Khorne scheme rather than the Tzeentch one of the previous Spawn.

Finished Spawn

Here are some finished photos of the Chaos Spawn that I previewed earlier.

I finished this sucker a couple of days ago but couldn't find my camera chord until now.  How embarrasing! :D

Again, this model is painted to a Level 5 quality with scenic basing.  I'm pretty new to the whole snow effects thing, so I'm pretty happy with how it turned out.

Pretty clever title for the post, right?

I am working on a Level 5 Chaos Spawn painted in a crazy blue Tzeentch theme.  The base isn't finished yet - it's going to be covered in wno effects and the edges need to be cleaned up, but the majority of the model is painted.

More Beasties!

Hello all!  Happy April Fool's Day!

Normally it is customary in the blogosphere to perform some sort of wanton trickery in a fruitless attempt to "fool" one's readers, thereby either further entertaining them or possibly alienating them from the community altogether.

I, of course, am far above such childish pranks.

Or maybe I just couldn't think of anything funny enough.  :D

Anyhoo, I did get a project a couple of days ago that I recently finished.  This one was rather interesting becayse it involved me doing something other than just putting paint on minis.  This was an expansion of the Beastmen army that I sold a couple of months ago.

Here are some awesome Harpy conversions that were constructed from Tyranid Gargoyle wings, Vampire Count Crypt Ghoul bodies and Ungor heads.  They're painted to a Level 3 standard.

Also included are some Bray Shamans painted at Level 5.  Not too much to say about these two except that one was made from an ancient (4th Edition?) Pestigor champion.

So, I haven't posted in a while... 'cause I've had nothing to share. :(

Here are some WIP pics of a couple Beastmen models that I've been working on.  The two Bray Shamans above are sweet Level 5 models, but the meat n' potatoes of the project are the converted harpies (check out the test model below).

Mo' Menoth

I haven't been updating lately because I haven't had much to update about.  I have very few projects at the moment - so if you would like a project done, now would be the time!  I'll be able to work on new projects immediately; no delay.

Here's a model that I finished for the same client who commissioned me to do the Avatar of Menoth a couple days ago.  Check it out!

I've been finishing up projects really fast this week!  You could say that I've been finishing them...

Like a boss! :D

Here's the Avatar of Menoth that I mentioned earlier.  It's an impressive Level 5, and features a lot of shading and blending that I'm quite proud of.  I'm also proud of how the banners and the flaming sword came out.

Hope you enjoyed!

That catches me up on projects, so if you've been waiting to schedule a project, now is the time!  It's amazing the amount of work I can do when I don't have to do homework! :D
