And now for my random post of the month...
I've been touting it over the interwebs for the past couple of days now simply because I don't think that it is possible to tout this movie enough:
James Cameron's Avatar, the movie that some are saying is the 'Star Wars of our time,' an analogy that I don't really understand considering that the Star Wars trilogy was made over a period of fourty years while this beauty has taken almost the span of my entire life to be produced.
It was also the third most expensive movie ever made.
But holy macaroons was it worth it! The rich environments and developed ecosystems of this movie really make it seem real and plausible - a reason can be found for everything; from the wedge-shaped head of the Great Leonopteryx predator to the single, glowing wing of Fan Lizard. An entire language was created for the Na'vi people with over 500 words and the technology of every Human creation was tested extensively for credibility. The plot of the movie is as exciting as it is emotional and the characters are rich and developed (and look very real through the judicious use of high-tech motion-capture technology).
Anyway, go and see it.

I'm just writing to say that the Wood Elf army was just sold off, so that is now unavailable. If you are really disappointed and wanted one of my wonderful armies (:D), I am working on a Dwarf one that will be completed somewhere around or after the holidays.
Right now things are a little slow, so if anyone has a project for me, I could get it finished relatively quickly. Just a heads up.

Here's a quick commission I just finished of a Leman Russ Battle Tank for an Imperial Guard army. It's only Level 1, painting only so its not much to see. As always, better pictures are in the Photo Gallery on the left.
